And Moses said: This is the word which the Lord hath commanded: Fill a gomor of it, and let it be kept unto generations to come hereafter; that they may know the bread, wherewith I fed you in the wilderness when you were brought forth out of the land of Egypt.

And when Moses heard this, he did all things that he had suggested unto him. And choosing able men out of all Israel, he appointed them rulers of the people, rulers over thousands, and over hundreds, and over fifties, and over tens. And they judged the people at all times.

Siguió Dios diciendo a Moisés: "Así dirás a los israelitas: Yahvé, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abrahán, el Dios de Isaac y el Dios de Jacob, me ha enviado a vosotros. Éste es mi nombre para siempre, por él seré recordado generación tras generación."

And they shall hear thy voice; and thou shalt go in, thou and the ancients of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and thou shalt say to him: The Lord God of the Hebrews hath called us; we will go three days' journey into the wilderness, to sacrifice unto the Lord our God.

And Moses went up to God; and the Lord called unto him from the mountain, and said: Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: You have seen what I have done to the Egyptians, how I have carried you upon the wings of eagles, and have taken you to myself.

Moisés subió al monte de Dios y Yahvé lo llamó desde el monte, y le dijo: Habla así a la casa de Jacob y anuncia esto a los hijos de Israel: "Vosotros habéis visto lo que he hecho con los egipcios, y como os he llevado sobre alas de águila y os he traído a mí."

- Now giants were upon the earth in those days. For after the sons of God went in to the daughters of men, and they brought forth children, these are the mighty men of old, men of renown.
- There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Los nefilim existían en la tierra por aquel entonces (y también después), cuando los hijos de Dios se unían a las hijas de los hombres y ellas les daban hijos: éstos fueron los héroes de la antigüedad, hombres famosos.
