Closing the ribs,

وتغلق الأضلع،

Usually the vertebrae, sometimes the ribs --

وعادةً ما تستهدف الفقرات وأحيانا الأضلاع،

And elbows me in the ribs and says,

ونكزت أضلاعي بمرفقها قائلة:

If you put your hand on your ribs,

إذا وضعتكم يدكم على أضلعكم،

You feel the ribs open as you breathe,

كما تشعرون بقفصكم الصدري مفتوحا في الشهيق،
