And when Moses was gone from Pharaoh out of the city, he stretched forth his hands to the Lord: and the thunders and the hail ceased, neither did there drop any more rain upon the earth.

Moisés despediu-se do faraó, saiu da cidade e ergueu as mãos em prece ao Senhor. Os trovões e o granizo cessaram, e a chuva parou.

Moses said: As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will stretch forth my hands to the Lord, and the thunders shall cease, and the hail shall be no more: that thou mayst know that the earth is the Lord's.

Moisés respondeu: Assim que eu tiver saído da cidade, erguerei as mãos em oração ao Senhor. Os trovões cessarão e não mais haverá chuva de pedras, para que saibas que a terra é do Senhor.

And now the third day was come, and the morning appeared: and behold thunders began to be heard, and lightning to flash, and a very thick cloud to cover the mount, and the noise of the trumpet sounded exceeding loud; and the people that was in the camp, feared.

Ao amanhecer do terceiro dia houve raios e trovões, uma nuvem escura apareceu acima do monte, e ouviu-se um som muito forte de trombeta. No acampamento, todos tremeram de medo.

And Pharaoh seeing that the rain, and the hail, and the thunders were ceased, increased his sin: and his heart was hardened, and the heart of his servants, and it was made exceeding hard: neither did he let the children of Israel go, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses.
