E disse Deus: "Cubra-se a terra de vegetação: plantas que deem sementes e árvores cujos frutos produzam sementes de acordo com as suas espécies." E assim aconteceu.

And the earth brought forth the green herb, and such as yieldeth seed according to its kind, and the tree that beareth fruit, having seed each one according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

A terra produziu vegetação: plantas que dão sementes de acordo com as suas espécies e árvores cujos frutos produzem sementes de acordo com suas espécies. E Deus viu que o que havia feito era bom.

And he said: Behold Adam is become as one of us, knowing good and evil: now therefore lest perhaps he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.

E o Senhor Deus disse: Eis que o homem se tornou como um de nós, capaz de conhecer o bem e o mal. Não vá agora estender a mão também ao fruto da árvore da vida para comê-lo e viver para sempre.

Mas a pomba, não achando onde pousar, pois as águas ainda cobriam toda a superfície da terra, voltou para Noé na arca. Ele estendeu a mão para fora, pegou a pomba e a trouxe de volta para dentro da arca.

The Lord also said to Moses: Arise early, and stand before Pharaoh; for he will go forth to the waters: and thou shalt say to him: Thus saith the Lord: Let my people go to sacrifice to me.
