Translation of "Nearer" in Arabic

Most of us prefer to think about nearer things,

معظمنا يفضل التفكير في الأشياء الأقرب فالأقرب،

It may be that my Lord guideth me unto a nearer way of truth than this.

عَسَى أَن يَهْدِيَنِ رَبِّي لِأَقْرَبَ مِنْ هَذَا رَشَدًا.

And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.

وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ.
