بعد هذه الفترة التي كانوا يطلقون عليها الصدمة الشوكيّة،

إذا حدث وآذيت فقط عمودك الفقري،

And that message travels up to my spinal cord,

وهذه الرسالة تسافر حتى تصل إلى حبلي الشوكي،

And it says to a fresh neuron in my spinal cord,

ثم تُخبر خلية عصبية جديدة موجودة في حبلي الشوكى،

And the spinal nociceptor takes that message up to the thalamus,

مُستَقبِلات الألم في العمود الفقري تُرسل هذه الرسالة إلى المِهاد،

Straight into my spinal cord - whizz - up to this part of my brain,
