Translation of "وَلَا" in English

وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا يَغْتَبْ بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًا أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتًا فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ.

And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would any of you love to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would abhor that!

يَقُولُ: اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَحْدَهُ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا.

He tells us to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship anything along with Him.

وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ.

And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.
